This is our main dish for our Christmas brunch. Prepared a day ahead of time, it is perfect for a delicious brunch.
Saute sausage until lightly browned. Cover the bottom of the casserole with bread slices, next, layer 1/2 the cheese and sausage, followed by another layer of bread, followed by the remaining sausage and cheese. Lightly beat together eggs and milk. Pour over sausage mixture. Press down until milk comes through. Refrigerate overnite, uncovered. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
