Put on fat yellowtails are in season now (Winter). Cook with Teriyaki sauce " Buri(Yellowtail) Teriyaki", This is one of the Japanese home-cooked dishes. This time i cooked a "Buri Teriyaki Don"(Yellowtail Teriyaki Bowl) which put the yellow teriyaki on the rice.
1: Make the Teriyaki sauce.
Combine the Teriyaki sauce ingredients (noodle dipping sauce, peeled and grated ginger, sake, mirin,
potato starch) and mix well. See photo 1
2: Heat the frying pan and cook the yellowtails until browned. medium heat.
It doesn't need a oil on the frying pan becucase yellowtails have a lot of fat. See photo 2
3: Turn it over and cook the other side. See photo 3
4: Add the teriyaki sauce, and cook for a few minutes. See photo 4
5: Serve rice on a plate. And put the shredded lettuce and crumple nori seaweed by hand on the rice.
6: Put the cooked yellowtail Teriyaki. DONE!
