Try this Butter-Cookies - Simple Butter Cookies recipe, or contribute your own.
Beat the butter with the sugar. Add the egg and vanilla and beat until you get a uniform mixture. Mix the flour and baking powder and gradually blend them into the mixture. When youre done, you should have a rather sticky dough. Shape the dough into balls, about 1 inch in diame- ter. Roll them in sugar and place them on an ungreased cookie sheet, leaving about an inch of space between cookies, so that they dont stick together when they expand. Bake in preheated oven at 350 deg. F for 20 minutes. Remove from oven, let them cool for a while, and start eating right away. File ftp://ftp.idiscover.co.uk/pub/food/mealmaster/recipes/mmkah001.zip
purplechelle 2y agoI like the recipe and it was simple. I think it calls for tomuch baking soda because it left a bad after taste in our mouths. I tried it again with less and they came out better. They were more flat but tasted better. I am going to use this recipe and just add different flavorings.
texaspaintpony 3y agoThese were just ok, rather plain, dry. Will not make again.
miniwaffles 3y agoReally good and very easy to make!! The best part is that instead of vanilla you can add lemon juice or cinnamon or chocolate powder and they are still delicious!! I recommend it

Rousselam 5y agoI made these today. They turned out perfectly and only took minutes to prepare. They were light and fluffy on the inside and a little golden crisp on the outside. I didn't roll them in sugar though (too much sugar for me) and they were sweet enough. They were super easy to make and not too hard on the ingredients list. I am adding these to my favorites. I might tastefully decorate them next time with sprinkles or something.
jmschaub 5y agoDespite having old flour these were still very good. Another tip that I would recommend if one was to make these in the future was not to ball these up as they don't flatten alot in the cooking process. So squish them down or something like that and maybe the dough will go further.
