Suggest a better descriptionPreheat oven to 350F. In large mixing bowl combine flour, sugar, butter, egg, baking soda, milk, and extract. Beat 3 to 4 minutes on low until mixed well. Roll out dough on well floured surface to 1/8" thick. Cut out with 2 1/2" round cookie cutter. Make small X or cut out tops of cookies. On the bottom place a teaspoon of preserves. Top with cookie tops and use for to press together.
Bake 11 to 13 minutes until slightly brown. Remove to cool on wire rack. Sprinkle with confection sugar.
