This is one of my favorite dishes my mother ever cooked!
Cut out the heart of the cabbage. Lift off leaves and place in boiling water for about 2 minutes, until pliable.
Mix all other ingredients. Form the mixture into small 2" X 4" logs.
Place each log in a cabbage leaf and roll them.
Layer the cabbage rolls and sauerkraut in a slow cooker and cook on low heat for 2 hours.
You could add a layer of bacon or add some tomato sauce for some added flavor.
