Ingredients

Are you making this? 
2 cans yams
1/4 cup butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
cinnamon; to taste
vanilla extract; to taste
syrup from can of yams

Original recipe makes 10

Servings  

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Drain yams (reserve a little syrup) and place in a baking dish.

Cut butter into small pieces and place throughout dish.

Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon over yams.

Mix vanilla extract with reserved liquid and drizzle over yams. Add to desired consistency.

Bake for 20-30 minutes.

First time making these in any fashion and they were okay, maybe due to my lack of experience here but they weren't as soft as I thought they would be and had an interesting flavor. I would like to know how much syrup to save
