Cover beans with water & bring to a boil. Add vinegar, salt, & sugar. Cook uncovered for 30 minutes.
Process in a pressure canner 20 minutes for pints, 25 minutes for quarts (be sure to adjust weight for altitude - in Ozark use 15 lbs. pressure.
When opening, rinse very well before cooking.
