2 small Cucumbers
1 cups Yogurt; plain or Greek style
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon Lemon juice
White pepper
3 cloves Garlic; or more
1 tablespoon Mint leaves, fresh*; minced
1/2 cup Sour cream
1 teaspoon Cumin
1 tablespoon Dill; fresh*; minced

Original recipe makes 1

Preferably utilize FRESH Ingredients. Use more or less garlic, minced, to your preference. Peel, seed and dice cucumbers. Sprinkle with salt and set aside to drain. Combine yogurt, olive oil, fresh lemon juice, pepper and garlic in large bowl. Cover and refrigerate. Just before serving, beat yogurt sauce until smooth. Have fresh mint torn into small pieces. Dry cucumber by gently squeezing between paper towels. Combine cucumbers with mint leaves and yogurt mixture. Add salt and pepper to taste. You can see that I added 3 additional ingredients to improve upon a standard recipe that most use.. by combining sour cream with the yogurt and doing both the mint and dill along with cumin it makes an old favorite much better, the cumin alone completely enhances the taste. * Note; this can be prepared and served either as is ( chunky) or throw all ingredients into a food processer or blender and puree to a smooth texture. ENJOY!!!

Loved it! I did use Kefir Greek cheese yoghurt for firmer consistency because It was in my fridge. Flavor is excellent.

Very good!! I went a little light on the cumin and heavy on the fresh lemon juice. Put a dollop on some roast beef lunchmeat I had and made a rollup- yum!! Can't wait to try it on the grilled chicken skewers I'm making for dinner tomorrow :-)! Thanks for a great recipe!

Excellent! Prepared it with black pepper 'cause I didn't have white and half the garlic. Didn't use kosher salt but just regular salt.

This is a good recipe. The only modification that I made was using 1/3 of the dill. I find that dill has an overpowering taste. I served this with pork souvlaki pitas. Everyone loved it.
