Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Our family loves these savory biscuits. Our recipe is very similar to other Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit recipes; we tweeked it just a little for our tastes.


2 1/2 cup Buttermilk Baking Mix
1 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese; finely grated
1/8 teaspoon Garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon Old Bay

3/4 cup Milk
2 tablespoon Butter; melted

1/4 cup Butter; melted
1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon Dried parsley flakes
1/2 teaspoon Chicken bouillon granules

Original recipe makes 12 Servings



Preheat oven to 400 F

Mix together Buttermilk Baking Mix with cheddar cheese,Garlic powder and Old Bay. Mix in Milk and melted Butter until well-combined. Dough should be just a little sticky, so the biscuits will be light and fluffy.

Drop large tablespoons of dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 400 F for 11 to 12 minutes or until the tops of the biscuits just begin to turn brown.

Brush warm biscuits with melted Butter combined with remaining ingredients.

Yield about 1 dozen.

Great taste and light. Not too dense. I added .25 tsp of garlic to the butter sauce. I also didn't use old bay didn't have any. Put a dash of pepper in the bread part. Definitely will make again.
