Ready in 45 minutes
Easy to Make. Kids Love it!
Mix soup, water, rice, onion powder and black pepper in 2qt. shallow baking dish. Top with chicken. Sprinkle chicken with additional pepper.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 375 F for 45 min. or until chicken is no longer pink and rice is done.
Uncover, sprinkle cheese over chicken, the cheese melts from the heat of the chicken.
For a nice addition stir in 2 cups of fresh or canned, or frozen vegetables into soup mixture before topping with chicken.

Jennelson1984 1y agoGood recipe! I used left over chicken from a whole chicken prepared the night before; shredded the chicken and submerged it into the rice to keep it from drying out. I used cheddar cheese soup. Tasty :)
Bebop2 1y agoI used cheddar cheese soup (cause I had it & wanted to use it up), salsa, garlic powder & water to stir into the rice. Then I cut the chicken breasts to make them thinner & laid them on top. After cooking, I did put some cheddar cheese on top of chicken. It was really good - spicy. But, chicken breasts are dry, so I will use thighs next time.
stika85 1y agoCame out very good I cooked my chicken and rice first so it would be all the way done seasoned my chicken mixed rice and cream of chicken soup and broccoli together then put cheese on it put it in the oven for the cheese to melt
spidey420 2y agoGood dish but the chicken needs some kind of extra seasoning because it came out bland. The rice was tasty and I added fresh broccoli when cooking it. Also just pound the chicken flat to keep it within the given cook time
