Quick and easy.
"I used a can of cream of chicken and a can of cream of celery soup. I didn't use quite as much onion powder as the recipe calls for but I used quite a bit more cheese. It turned out great. It was a real hit with the family."- debbiecon
Stir soup, water, rice, onion powder and black pepper in 12 X 9 X 2 baking dish.
Place chicken on top of ingredients.
Add other seasons as desired.
Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes or until done.
Top with cheese.
Note: This recipe is for 4 servings. For largers servings add additional ingredients.

rosieanna23 1 year agoGreat easy recipe. I like to add some veggies (frozen mixed, fresh broccoli and green beans, whatever I have on hand). This is a go-to when I need to make a casserole for someone too. Thanks for posting!
prdill08 1 year agoThe onion powder needs to be edited, but of course a cup would be too much. I added fresh broccoli florets and 1 1/2 cans of soup. Super easy to make.
ambermacguffie-greene 2 years agoChicken just right, rice could use more flavor and way too much onion powder 1 tbsp would have been fine.
JackieMcNabb 2 years agoChicken was tender but the rice was bland. A half cup of onion powder is a lot.....
dee265 2 years agoMy kids and I have made this several times and love it! Sometimes I add a little cayenne or hot sauce to spice out up a little
Carliegem 3 years agoSimple and easy to make while full of flavor. Fun to add your own touches as well (seasoning, veggies etc) as pretty much anything goes with it. A new staple in my family's meals!
mhendrix 4 years agoEasy to make. I added some different seasoning since my husband doesn't like onions. I also added a can of corn. It was sooo good!
