Cheesy meatballs with spaghetti
"I used Italian seasonings instead of basil and doubled the recipe by adding Italian sausage along with the ground beef. These were absolutely delicious! I usually don't like meatballs because they are dry. Not these! Very moist! "
1. Combine meat, egg, cheese, onion and basil. Season and roll into balls.
2. Heat oil in a large non-stick frying pan. Cook half the meatballs for 4-5 minutes. Remove and repeat.
3. Return the meatballs to the pan and pour over sauce. Cover, cook over a medium heat for 20 minutes until cooked through.
4. Cook spaghetti in a large pan of boiling water, as per packet directions. Drain and place in bowl. Spoon over meatballs and sauce. Serve with basil leaves.
jkjohnson83h0x1 6d 2h agoAfter all the great reviews I was excited to make this! Unfortunately it didn't turn out so amazing for me, it was good not great! Thanks for the tip on baking in the oven that helped me. If I try it again maybe I'll add some red pepper flakes or garlic like someone else did, it just needs a little something.

Nwalthour 2m agoI have always been intimidated by making homemade meatballs. This recipe was so easy and incredibly delicious. My whole family loved it! The only thing I changed was, I used 1 pound of ground beef and half a pound of mild Italian ground sausage.
