Ingredients

1 cn Cream of celery soup
2 sm Onions; chopped
1/4 c Butter
1/2 lb Velveeta
4 sl Bacon; fried crisp (reserve grease)
2 c milk
4 oz Sour cream
8 Potatoes; peeled and cubed
2 c Potato water

Preparation

Boil potatoes until tender. Set aside, reserving 2 cups of the water. Saute onion in butter until tender. In large saucepan, add milk, potato water, bacon grease, onion and butter, crumbled bacon, soup, sour cream and Velveeta. Simmer all together until cheese is melted. Add potatoes. Fantastic! I added Broccoli and shredded Cheddar Cheese. I also reduced the amount of Onion. Would definitely make this again.

Made this recipe yesterday minus the onion and with an additional strip of bacon (of course). Came out awesome!

Very good! I used regular white American cheese because I couldn't make it to the store but can't wait to try it a different way.

It was great! However, added the full 2 pounds of velveeta, some shallots, and also put in 3 cans of green chillies. The 2 pounds of cheese was a little much but other than that it was great!
