"Was the perfect consistency. Just like in a restaurant. My husband and I served with a salad. Even the kids loved it. I added extra bacon. My husband said it would taste good w/ brocolli in it too! Next time!"- Presidentialsweet
Boil potatoes until tender. Set aside, reserving 2 cups of the water. Saute onion in butter until tender. In large saucepan, add milk, potato water, bacon grease, onion and butter, crumbled bacon, soup, sour cream and Velveeta. Simmer all together until cheese is melted. Add potatoes. Simmer until heated through. Add salt and pepper to taste. Posted to EAT-L Digest 4 November 96 Date: Tue, 5 Nov 1996 18:29:57 +0000 From: Kris Milliron

Kt9960 3 years agoVery good! I used regular white American cheese because I couldn't make it to the store but can't wait to try it a different way.
dennis22 5 years agoIt was great! However, added the full 2 pounds of velveeta, some shallots, and also put in 3 cans of green chillies. The 2 pounds of cheese was a little much but other than that it was great!
