My husband would not shut up about these cookies...and he has never really liked cookies! They reminded me of a hot fudge sundae with brownies on top. They are very chewy and extremely chocolatey... there's not much else to say here.
BOWL 1
Melt chocolate and butter on a double boiler.
BOWL 2
Beat eggs, sugar, & vanilla for 5 minutes at high speed.
Add chocolate to egg mixture. Gently stir in flour and baking powder.
Fold in nuts and chocolate chunks. Chill dough for 30 minutes.
Scoop the dough out onto parchment lined paper. Dot tops of cookies with chocolate chips. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 350F. Bake for 8 minutes. DO NOT OVERBAKE. Let pan cool on a wire rack.
