I made 8 dozen of these for a school party and now whenever there's a community function they want me to bring these cookies, This has become my classic oatmeal cookie recipe. You can add nuts, coconut, chocolate chips, make them with cranberries--and I recently substituted dried cherries and added chopped almonds. Big hit!
