Suggest a better descriptionMMMMM---------------------TO MAKE DUMPLINGS-------------------------- 1 1/2 c All purpose flour; (sifted) Baking powder; (cooking like ; grandma no exact ; amount) Salt & pepper; (to taste) 4 tb Shortening 3/4 c Milk Put chicken into a large pot. Add salt & pepper. Pour in enough water to just cover the chicken. Cover pot, turn stove on high, and cook until chicken is falling off the bones. While chicken is cooking, you can make the drop dumplings (see recipe below). To make dumplings: In a mixing bowl, add baking powder, salt & pepper to flour. Then, using a pastry blender, cut in shortening until mixture looks like cornmeal. Add milk & stir only enough to mix well. Take dumpling mixture and drop by tablespoons into the stewed chicken in boiling broth. Cook dumplings for 10 minutes with pot covered and 10 minutes uncovered. Place all into serving dish. Serve & enjoy!
