2. Add garllic and shallots and cook until tender.
3. Add broth, balsamic vinegar, and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered 15 minutes or until liquie reduces and becomes thick and syrupy.
4. Season with pepper and remove from heat.
