My mother-in-law's recipe for some of the best Chicken and Dumpling I've ever tasted,
Boil Chicken in large boiler. Remove chicken but leave chicken broth in boiler, skim off anything on top. Keep broth boiling. Add about 1 cup flour in a bowl, mix in small amount of cold water until dough forms. On large flat surface, add about 2 cups of flour. Using floured rolling pin, roll dough as flat and thin as possible. Dough will start pulling back around edges. Cut into 1 1/2 inch Strips . Pick up one strip at a time and tear off pieces, about 2 inches long. Using the back of a spoon, press the dumplins under the broth carefully. Never stir. Repeat for 3 or 4 more droppings. Tear up chicken and put in broth along with 1-stick of margarine. Taste and see if more salt and pepper is needed, add milk, turn off heat, Cover and let sit for 15 minutes.
