Chicken Rice Soup

1 lb chicken, boneless, skinless; cut into cubes
5 cups Water; or chicken broth
8 oz Mushroom; fresh
3/4 cup Celery; sliced
1/2 cup Carrot; sliced
1/2 cup Rice; raw
1/4 cup Onions; chopped
1 cup Mixed vegetables; frozen or canned OK
5 teaspoon instant boullion, chicken; or 5 cubes
1/2 teaspoon Ground sage
1/4 teaspoon Pepper

Original recipe makes 2



In slow cooker, combine chicken, water or broth, vegetables and seasonings.

Cover and cook on low setting 6-8 hours (or on high 4 hours).

Makes 2 quarts, refrigerate leftovers.

How much celery do you need for this? I don't think 10 3/4 cups is right.

I cut the sage and pepper, and my wife thought it was still to spicy. I thought it was perfect.
