Ground beef chili with black beans
In a large (12 quart) dutch oven or soup pot, brown meat. Drain. Dice onion. cook onion on medium low until tender; add garlic in the last 3 minutes. Return meat to pot.
Add remaining ingredients, return to boil, and simmer for at least 1 hour.
Correct seasoning at 30 minutes. Add hot sauce or more chipotle seasoning. (Note: if using a chili seasoning like Penzy's Chili 3000, omit cumin, chipolte and oregano).
Substitute what kidney or other beans if you prefer. This recipe may be made gluten free by using sorgum beer.
