Suggest a better descriptionHeat some oil in a pan and fry the onion, garlic and red chilli peppers until the onion begins to brown (around 5 to 10 minutes).
Then add the minced beef and steak and fry until browned (drain the fat if necessary).
Stir in the chopped tomatoes, dark chocolate, coffee, cumin, chilli powder, cayenne and seasoning, then simmer for around an hour.
Add the drained kidney beans and simmer for a further 30 minutes or so until everything has thickened to your liking.
Serve with rice, nachos or as a topping on chilli dogs.
Use more or less chillies if you like it hotter or milder.
If you want to use proper coffee rather than instant, make 200 ml of coffee and use that as the liquid for the beef stock.
