"Great recipe! I didn't have everything the recipe called for so I used yellow, red and green bell peppers just to add color. The recipe was very easy to understand and follow. I let my 2yr old taste the meat prior to adding it to the peppers...she came back 3 more times with her plate asking for more! I can only imagine how great this will taste when I have all the ingredients called for in this recipe. I will definitely make this again. The only reason for 4 stars is because I didn't have everything needed. "
Marinate steak for 15 minutes or more. Add oil to hot wok. Swirl and stir fry garlic, ginger and scallions for 30 seconds. With slotted spoon, reserving the marinade, add half the steak and stir fry for 3 minutes. Remove and set aside. Repeat with remaining steak.
Add oil and stir fry onion and green peppers for 2 minutes. Push vegetables to sides of wok. Add marinade to center of wok and stir until thickened and bubbly. Blend in vegetables, add steak and heat thoroughly.

TRJeff 2 years agoThe Marinade is the Soy Sauce, Dry Sherry, Sugar, Cornstarch and Water. I cut the onions in longitudinal strips. I marinated the meat for about 8 hours and the flavor was great.

Ynari 3 years agoMy very picky husband loved it, and even our two year old ate it. I couldn't find sherry or ginger root so I used a dry white wine and powdered ginger, and I used sirloin steak. I served steamed broccoli as a side. I'm vegetarian so for me I substituted Gardein beef tips and it was really tasty. I will cook the peppers much longer next time, though, as they were still almost raw.
