Ready in 20 minutes

These chocolate chip cookies stay soft and chewy for a long time, and also work great to freeze ahead to pop a few in the oven when you need a quick sweet fix.

1 cup butter or margarine; softened
3/4 cup Sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 Eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups Flour
18 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips

Original recipe makes 20

Mix together butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Add salt and baking soda, mix. Add eggs and vanilla, mix. Add flour, mix. Add chocolate chips, mix.

Spoon golf-ball-sized pieces of dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375* for 10 - 12 minutes (or until the tops start to brown).

These cookies were horrible. They did not look like the pic at all and they had no flavor.
