Mom's recipe
Cream shortening and sugar. Add vanilla, eggs and chocolate. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Stir in nuts.
Chill dough thoroughly. Form 1 inch balls. Roll in powdered sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake in 350? oven about 156 minutes Cool slightly before removing from pan.
