Cream shortening,and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs, extracts and beat well. Add flour, baking powder, salt,and nuts. Mix well. From dough into 1 inch balls. Press each ball around a kiss so kiss is completely enclosed. Bake on UNGREASED cookie sheet 12 minutes. DO NOT OVERBAKE!!!!! Cool on rack. Makes 3 1/2-4 dozen.
