Ready in 45 minutes

Best lasagna recipe I've ever made.

"Sooo good!!! I made a few changes as I went along that seemed to work. First I added mozzarella to the cottage cheese mix. I used a 7x11 pan because I was only serving 2 people and I also used about a half jar of prego sauce in the sausage mix because it seemed too thick. I used the no-boil lasagna noodles as well, which turned out perfect and made for less dishes and quicker meal. My best lasagna yet!"

1 pound Sausage
1 teaspoon Garlic powder
1 teaspoon Basil
1 12-oz can Tomato; diced
2 can (6 oz) Tomato paste
3 cups Cottage cheese
1 cup Parmesan cheese; grated
2 tablespoon Parsley flakes
2 Eggs
8 Lasagna noodles
7 cups Mozzerella cheese; shredded

Original recipe makes 12

Preheat oven to 375.

Brown sausage and drain.

Mix garlic, basil, tomatoes, and tomato paste into sausage. Cover and simmer sauce for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, combine cottage cheese, parmesan cheese, parsley flakes, and eggs in bowl. Set aside.

Cook lasagna noodles in boiling water for 15 minutes.

In glass 9 x 13 pan layer half the lasagna noodles. Next layer half the sauce. Layer half the cottage cheese mixture over sauce. Follow with a layer of half the mozzerella cheese.

Repeat layers.

Bake at 375 for 30 minutes.

Let stand 15 minutes before cutting into squares.

"Bubbly, melty, and cozy. Those 3 words best describe this delicious recipe that Chef Nikki Cascone came up with to win the challenge. Why wouldn't she? Although meatless, the veggies and cheeses more than make up for the lack of protein. And it's tasty, too!" — Firebyrd Firebyrd

Tony's At Disney World Lasagna

A variation on this recipe

"A tasty and scrumptious lasagna made with ground beef and a variety of spices and cheese which gives it a rich taste. Until now, found only at Tony's in Disneyworld, a premier restaurant found in Tony's Town Square. The restaurant is a replica of Tony's which was the favorite dining spot of Lady and the Tramp." — Firebyrd Firebyrd

I added a bit of cream cheese with the rest of the cheese mix, and it was fantastic. Recipe is excellent as is, but I was very happy with the cream cheese variation as well.
