In large bowl mix Crisco, and sugars. Once creamed add egg and vanilla, beat until smooth, then mix in melted chocolate chips. In another bowl mix cocoa powder, flour baking soda, and salt and then add to the butter, egg, chocolate mixture. Mix well.
Scoop spoonfuls of dough onto cookie sheet. Bake for approximately 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool for about 2 minutes then remove from cookie sheet and let cool on foil lined counter top.
