Ready in 45 minutes
Carve tri-tip across the grain into thin slices.
Preheat oven to 425o. Trim excess fat from meat. Cut a pocket parallel to
the surface along long side. Combine croutons, cheese, cilantro, egg, green
onion and lime juice; mix well. Pack stuffing into pocket. Skewer opening
or tie with string. Season exterior. Roast in shallow pan 25 minutes. Brush
with melted jelly. Reduce oven temperature to 350o; roast an additional 5-8
minutes to desired doneness. Allow to stand 10 minutes. Carve tri-tip crossgrain
in 1/2 inch slices.
Hazzmatt1 4y agoGood good good. Easy to make. Cooking time should be longer how the recipe is it comes out pretty rare. I up it about 10min or so
micheller3030 7y agoI love cilantro so I decided to try this..... Love the jalapeno jelly spread on the top, adds delicious flavor. Did not really dig the stuffing! A bit too mushy feeling. The flavor of the stuffing was good. Next time I think when I melt the jelly will add the cilantro to that and enjoy the two flavors that stood out the most to me.
