Suggest a better descriptionI got this Portuguese fish recipe from my niece.It was my sisters favorite. Soak cod overnight with one change of water. Drain and rinse well.Poach fish until it is barely cooked.Set aside.Heat oil and saute onion and garlic until lightly browned,add tomatoes and cook until tomatoes tender. Place vegetables in casserole and arrange fish on top. Lay bacon strips on fish and dot with tomato puree. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes at 350 degree oven.
