Southern cornbread
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease 8-inche square baking pan.
Combine: cornmeal, flour sugar, baking powder and salt in medium bowl. Combine milk, oil, and egg in a small bowl; mix well. Add milk misture to flour mixture; stir just until blended. Pour into prepared pan.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until done.
Note: Can be doubled. Used greased 13X9-inch pan. Bake as above.
Don't overbake.
