Crab Chowder with corn, mixed vegetables and dumplings.
Saute the onion and garlic in butter until unions are clear. Add the chicken broth and potato soup. Bring to a gentle boil. Add the creamed corn and milk. Bring back to a gentle boil add frozen mixed vegetables. Turn down to medium low heat and simmer, but stirring often. Add 16oz package imatation or fresh crab pulled apart .For dumplings mix flour, eggs, 1/2 tsp of salt and stir with a fork. Add a bit of milk until the dough is moist and sticky. Using a spoon drop small dough balls into the soup and let cook in the simmering chowder. Cover and simmer on low for 20 minutes addiing salt and fresh ground pepper to taste.
Do not cook too hot or soup and milk will burn. Stir often. For sweeter dumplings, add a bit of sugar.
