Add sugar, juice, and cinnamon stick and bring to a boil stirring to dissolve sugar. Add cherries and simmer for about 6 min then add cranberries and simmer until they start to burst. Remove cinnamon. Add gelatin to thicken if necessary. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours for best results.
