2 tb Butter or margarine
1/4 c Flour
3 c Chicken broth
1/2 c Celery; chopped
1/4 c Onions; chopped
1 c Milk; or cream
3 Chicken breasts

Original recipe makes 6 Servings



Boil chicken, celery & onion till done. Remove chicken & shred meat. Reserve broth. Melt butter in top of double boiler over direct heat. Slowly stir in flour. Stir in broth & milk. I used cream and added carrots and potatoes as previously recommended. Before adding chicken I blended soup mixture with magic bullet so it turned out creamier and thicker. Added chicken(also diced in magic bullet). Yummy! Needed a little spice though

Turned out very good.. I added oregano seasoning apart from pepper powder... Adds extra taste which I love..

I added mixed veggies and O'Brien potatoes. Made it a nice chowder. Very filling and very good. I will definitely make again.
