Try this Cream of Chicken Soup recipe, or contribute your own.
"Great "comfort food"! I definately used the cream and added carrots to the broth to cook with the onion, celery, and chicken.
I also added rice and peas just before serving- made a great "meal in one".
Will use this again. To make more elegant for guests, will delete rice, peas, and carrots and add rosemary. Sprig of rosemary on top for garnish. "
Boil chicken, celery & onion till done. Remove chicken & shred meat. Reserve broth. Melt butter in top of double boiler over direct heat. Slowly stir in flour. Stir in broth & milk. Cook until smooth & thick. Add shredded chicken. Add salt & pepper to taste. MRS. VICTOR JEUNGEL, JR. From

ashleyelizabethjimenez 1y agoI used cream and added carrots and potatoes as previously recommended. Before adding chicken I blended soup mixture with magic bullet so it turned out creamier and thicker. Added chicken(also diced in magic bullet). Yummy! Needed a little spice though
prabhunakul 2y agoTurned out very good.. I added oregano seasoning apart from pepper powder... Adds extra taste which I love..

helzy 4y agoadded carrots more stock use stick blender my kids didnt recognise those vegies.
MrsCross 4y agoI added mixed veggies and O'Brien potatoes. Made it a nice chowder. Very filling and very good. I will definitely make again.
