A warm pudding mix makes things come together in a really tasty way.
Crust
Buy (or make and cool) a 9" cookie crumb pie crust - graham, vanilla, shortbread, whatever you prefer.
Filling
Combine sweetened condensed milk, egg yolks, water and pudding mix in heavy saucepan; mix until well blended. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly.
Cool 15 minutes.
Beat in sour cream.
Thinly slice 2 bananas. Dip in lemon juice; drain.
Build
Arrange bananas on bottom of crust.
Spoon filling over bananas until just covered
Add a layer of vanilla wafers, bananas then pudding
repeat this last layer
Garnish with with whipped cream/ cool whip and whatever looks good such as additional banana slices and/or vanilla wafers.
Chill thoroughly
