"I made this tonight and it was a HUGE hit!! Made some minor changes. I doubled the recipe and used 1/2 cup of water and 1/2 cup of chicken broth. I used fresh mushrooms and served it over almond rice!! So delicious!!!"


4 Boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 package Italian salad dressing mix
1/2 cup Water
1 package Cream cheese; softened
1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
1 4-oz can Mushroom stems & pieces; drained

Original recipe makes 4



1. Place chicken in bottom of crockpot.

2. Combine salad dressing mix and water.

3. Pour over chicken.

4. Cover & cook on low for 3 hours.

5. In small mixing bowl, mix cream cheese & soup until blended.

6. Stir in mushrooms.

7. Pour over chicken.

8. Cook for 1 hour or longer or until chicken juices run clear.

9. Serve over rice or pasta.

Wonderful! I put two thighs and two breasts, totally forgot the mushrooms, and mixed in egg noodles into the crockpot right before serving. Will definitely make again.

This was delicious and very easy to make! I added a can of petite diced tomatoes, salt, and pepper. The sauce was amazing! My family loved it! I will definitely make it again!

This was very good. Make sure you don't cook too long or the chicken will dry out. I served with egg noodles and sauteed broccoli.

I had to tweak the recipe a little bit as I didn't have cream of chicken and instead used cream of mushroom mixed with chicken broth and it turned out amazing. Definitely will make again!
