Place cubes into well-greased crock-pot. In a bowl mix sugar and melted butter, eggs (well beaten) and milk. Beat until smooth. Stir in raisins and nutmeg. Pour over cube mixture. Mix lightly and cook on high 1 hour. Then turn to low 3 or 4 hours. Sauce: Cook until thick. This should be a medium heavy pot. Pour over pudding just before serving. JoeDuraes 4y agoJust made it for the first time. My family loved it!! This is so good. This sauce was excellent. Next time I will try making raspberry sauce.
EyesOpenWide 4y agoWas a good recipe. I used part brown sugar as well and it gave it great flavor. This cooked up very well. The family liked it a lot. Thanks for sharing it!
FoodieMommy101 5y agoThis was just okay. I wasn't very impressed and will not make it again.
RobieCooks46 5y agoI liked the crock pot idea but I changed a few things. I put the pudding mixture in a dish that fits inside the pot then put water in the bottom of the crock. This is more like the traditional oven bread pudding. I added 2tsp of cinnamon to the pudding mixture a tbsp of whiskey to the sauce.
Troy101667 5y agoIt was pretty good. You need to be more specific with the ingredients on the sauce. I think i would try some cinnamon with it next time.
