Ready in 45 minutes
Layer in 1/2 onions and 1/2 apples. Season Pork Roast with salt and pepper, and place on top of onions and apples. Put remaining apples and onions on top of roast. Sprinkle with caraway seeds. Drain Sauerkraut and place on top. Sprinkle brown sugar on top of sauerkraut. Pour apple juice around the sides. Cook for 8 hours on Low in a Crock Pot.
Some sauerkraut requires rinsing before adding to the recipe to avoid excess salt.

Saylor221O my word!! Your my savior! I however left out the brown sugar because I used a mild kraut. I also left out caraway because I think it's flavorful enough with the other ingredients. I also put the crockpot on the lowest setting and let it cook for 23 hours :)3y ago
