Top-ranked recipe named "Crockpot Pizza Casserole"
This is a good basic recipe that you can change up by adding mushrooms, black olives, green peppers, Italian sausage, or whatever you like on pizza. I tried keeping it healthy by using fat free mushroom soup and turkey pepperoni.
"I LOVE this recipe! I made this 2 weeks ago or so and it looked like there would be a ton so I actually made 2 separate meals out of it so nine would go to waste! I layered half of everything in a 1.5qt baking dish with tight fitting lid and froze it! I pulled it out last night and put it in the fridge last night to thaw; then popped it in the oven on 350 for about an hour and it was perfect!! This is such an awesome dish to have and I am spreading along to everyone I know!! Thanks again for such a great dish!!"
Mix together in bowl or skillet that was used to brown the meat:
Pizza or spaghetti sauce
Layer in 3.5 quart crockpot: in the order given:
Half of the meat mixture
Half of the cooked pasta
Half a can of the soup
6 ounces of cheese
Half of the pepperoni slices
Top with any other ingredients you like such as mushrooms, olives, etc.
Cook on low heat for 4 hours and serve with your favorite bread and a salad.

Trtlmay 1 year agoWith a few modifications, this was delicious!! I browned a pound of pork sausage and added some Italian Seasoning and additional Basil and minced garlic with a dash of roasted red pepper flakes. I used 24 oz of pizza sauce from a can and an entire 15 oz jar of alfredo sauce in place of the Cream of Mushroom (not a fan). I also sprinkled parmesan and mozzarella in the cheese layer without measuring. What is pizza without mozzarella? It smelled delicious while it cooked and when the timer dinged, there was no hesitation to dish it out. I did spray the inside of the crock just in case anything would stick and clean up was a breeze. Some bits around the edge did get 'blackened' but it tasted fine. My husband loved the dish and we both went back for seconds. The four year old is not a fan of dinner time and didn't actually eat hers in our presence (we had a meeting to attend without her). She said after a bite that it was good, but still wouldn't sit at her seat to eat it. We are hoping this phase is coming to an end, soon! We would definitely make again and I think it would be easy to sub in turkey or chicken sausage to go on the lighter side. This would be great for a potluck.

golfincanada 2 years agoVery average. I didn't mind the Crockpot Pizza Casserole but it certainly wasn't a hit with the remaining 3 people at the table. For this reason I would not make it again.
tinktink521 2 years agoThis was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS soooo full of flavor!! I used sausage instead of ground beef?2 jars of pizza sauce instead of 1 and mozzeralla in my layers topped with grated parmesean..I put yellow green and red peppers in with my onions and sauce mix! Topped with more fresh peppers and olives!!! Definitely make this over and over :))
