"Absolutely wonderful! I did not use the foil balls. I stuffed the cavity with rosemary sprigs, chopped onion and crushed garlic cloves and rubbed the skin with olive oil, poultry seasoning, salt and pepper. The chicken was fantastic and I made gravy with the juice. This is going to be a regular dish in my house from now on."
Prepare deli-style chicken at home by aid of your crockpot.
Rub chicken with olive oil. Sprinkle with season salt to taste. Spray inside crockpot with non-stick cooking spray. Put foil balls in bottom of the crockpot. Place the chicken on top, breast side up. Cover and cook on HIGH for 4-6 hours.
Note: Do not add water or other liquid to crockpot.
Do not cook on LOW setting.
Jennelson1984 1y agoI cooked the chicken on high for 5 hours and it was perfectly done. Used Cajun spice instead of season salt. Pretty tasty
Hotdoxy 1y agoI will make this again, however I will cut the cooking time in half. My chicken came out way too dry despite being over twice as big as called for in the recipe.
jandole 2y agothis was ok..didn't really 'taste' like store bought rotisserie but the flavor was good! Took others advice and stuck in 400 degree oven for about 10/15 mins to brown up...

Dana 2y agoYou can use a frozen, bird. The cooking time is 8 hrs on high.

Wardcomm 3y agoMade this before & everyone loved it. Leftovers were great for the chicken salad. Making it again today for New Years Eve dinner!!!
