Try this Crockpot Split Pea Soup recipe, or contribute your own.
Cook on high to get it hot, if you have time, then lower the heat setting to low and cook 8 hours. Dont fill the crock pot too full, due to foaming. Stir, adjust the seasonings and serve. If you like the soup creamy, take out 1/2 c. of the soup and puree in food processor, then blend back into the soup. greyherder 4y agoThis was a wonderful soup! Best split pea I've ever made, and so easy. Leftovers a few days later were great, too!
Pjames666 6y agoUsed leftover ham vs. bacon. Cubed it. Should've added later rather than at start. Doubled recipe -- barely fit on large CrockPot. Added fresh Bay Leaves and a whole sprig of Rosemary, which helped! But, ended up with Rosemary spines in the soup.
