Great recipe for oatmeal on a cold winters morning.

2 cups steel cut oatmeal; not instant
6 -8 cups Water
1 tsp cinaamon
1/2 cup Brown sugar
1 tsp Vanilla extract
2 Apples; peeled and diced
1 cup Raisins
1/2 cups Walnuts; chopped

Original recipe makes 8 Servings



Spray corckpot with nonstick cooking spray. Put in first seven ingredients (throiugh raisins) in the crockpot and cook on low for 6 -8 hours. Top with walnuts and more brown sugar if desired before serving.


Use 8 cups of water if you would like to cook the oatmeal for 8 hours. Use 6 cups for 6 hours cooking time.
