Crunchy Asian Broccoli Coleslaw

Good for large groups because it makes a lot.


0.5 cup Kraft Zesty Italian dressing; divided
2 packages Oriental Ramen noodle soup mix
24 oz. broccoli slaw
4 green onions; sliced
0.5 cup dry roasted sunflower kernels
0.5 cup sliced almonds; toasted

Original recipe makes 12



Mix dressing with seasoning packet from 1 of the soup mix packages.

Break apart noodles and place in large bowl. Add slaw, onions, sunflower kernels and almonds; mix lightly.

Add dressing mixture; toss to coat.

Dressing mixture can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated.

Noodles can be crushed and put in plastic bag with sunflower kernels and almonds and stored at room temperature until ready to assemble.

This was yummy! Liked the crunch but only used one package of noodles, I think 2 would have been too much.

I decided to change this recipe slightly. I used both packages of seasoning and a cup of Italian dressing ( I still ended up adding a little more to my serving. It was a little dry for my taste.). I omitted the onions cause hubby won't eat them raw and added half a rotisserie chicken cut in pieces. It was GREAT! My 10 year-old even loved it!!!
