Ready in 1 hour 30 minutes

This is a very quick yeast bread. It's good with meals where French or Italian bread would be good.

2.5 cups flour; (up to 3 cups)
1 Tbs Yeast
1 Tbs Sugar
1/2 Tbs Salt
1 cup Hot water
1/2 Tbs sesame or poppy seeds; optional

Place in greased bowl, cover, let rise 15 mins, punch down, shaping into a round loaf. Place on a baking sheet. Cut an X ?" deep on top. Brush with water, sprinkle with seeds. Place in middle shelf of COLD oven. Place cake pan of hot water on lowest shelf. Heat over to 400 and bake 40-50 mins until deep golden brown.

very delicious bread. I would just let it rise at least 15minutes or more before popping in cool oven. Not allowing any rise first resultsed in a somewhat dense, but delicious loaf!
