spiced cucumber rings
Solution 1
-peal 2 gals of big yellow cucumbers, slice open, remove seeds, and slice into rings
-soak in 2 cups pickling lime for 24 hours.
-remove from lime water and wash lime out
Solution 2
-mix cucumbers from solution 1 with alum, vinegar, and food coloring
-simmer cucumbers in mix for 40 mins
-remove and drain
Solution 3
-boil listed ingredients while stirring until red hots are melted(do not add cucumbers until melted)
-add cucumbers and simmer for 2 hours
-put cucumbers in jars and fill with syrup from solution3
-cook in pressure cooker
