Ingredients

1 1/2 c milk
1/4 c Vegetable oil
1 tb Baking Powder
1 1/2 c Cornmeal
1 ts Salt
1/2 c All-purpose flour

Preparation

Mix dry ingredients. Stir in milk just until dry ingredients are moistened. Add oil to batter, stirring well. Heat greased 8 inch cast-iron skillet unitl very hot, pour in batter, then bake at 425 for 30 minutes or until lightly browned.

I love this recipe! So easy to make, I did add 1 tablespoon of honey to the mix. My husband loved them also and he is very picky about his cornbread! Thanks so much for sharing.

Yummy!! I added sugar and instead of veggie oil I put in bacon drippings from breakfast in the cast iron pan. That took this Great Recipe over the Top!!!!
