Try this Deep-South Cornbread recipe, or contribute your own.
Mix dry ingredients. Stir in milk just until dry ingredients are moistened. Add oil to batter, stirring well. Heat greased 8 inch cast-iron skillet unitl very hot, pour in batter, then bake at 425 for 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
Connie633 2y agoI love this recipe! So easy to make, I did add 1 tablespoon of honey to the mix. My husband loved them also and he is very picky about his cornbread! Thanks so much for sharing.
Henrymiles 4y agoYummy!! I added sugar and instead of veggie oil I put in bacon drippings from breakfast in the cast iron pan. That took this Great Recipe over the Top!!!!
