Pre-heat oven to 180
STEP ONE
Melt butter, stir in puree, pour into cake round
Sprinkle with pecans, then layer banana slices on top
STEP TWO
In a bowl mix flour, baking powder, cardamom and pinch of salt.
In another bowl, cream together remaining tablesppon butter, and maple syrup.
Add flaxseed meal mixture and vanilla and mix until well combined.
Stir in flour mixture, and beat until just combined.
Pour into cake tins.
Bake for 25 mins.
run a knife round edge.
Turn upside down onto a plate.
