Suggest a better descriptionHere is our all time Betty Crocker divinity, Had book for almost 25 years now and all of the kids love to eat AND make it. Here goes. stir sugar, corn syrup and water over low heat till sugar dissolved. Cook w/o stirring to 260 on candy therm. Or until small amt. mix drops into cold water forms a hard ball. In mixer bowl. beat egg whites till stif peaks form. Continue beating while pouring hot syrup in a thin stream into egg whites. Add van. Beat until mix hold shape and becomes slightly dull. (mixture may become too stiff for mixer) Fold in nuts. Drop mix from tip of buttered spoon onto wax paper. 4 doz yummy candies. You can add food color for interesting look.
