These sinful brownies are made with chocolate chips instead of cocoa powder.

"Got tired of boxed mix and my daughter wanted to make scratch brownies. They were very good. A little too sweet for me, I will try a combination of semisweet and unsweetened or dark chocolate next time. I might leave out one egg next time. Recipie was super easy and quick, totally perfect for my 13yo daughter to make without help (she's our resident brownie maker). "

Are you making this?
1 1/2 cup Sugar
2/3 cup Butter
1/4 cup Water
2 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate chips; (12-oz package)
2 teaspoon Vanilla
4 Eggs
1 1/2 cup Flour
1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 cup Nuts; chopped (optional)

Original recipe makes 12 Servings

In a small saucepan, combine 1 1/2 cup sugar, 2/3 cup butter, and 1/4 cup water. Bring just to a boil. Remove from heat and add one 12 ounce package (2 cups) semi-sweet chocolate chips and 2 teaspoons vanilla. Stir until chocolate melts. Transfer chocolate mixture to a large bowl. Beat in four eggs, one at a time. In a small bowl combine flour, soda, and salt. Gradually add flour to chocolate batter. Blend in 1 cup chopped nuts if desired. Pour into greased 13x9x2 inch pan. Bake at 325 for 50 minutes.

"If you like it, you might also try this  That's right -- brownies & fudge, at the same time! This amazing brownie recipe is so rich and so sweet. Make sure you cut the brownies into very small pieces - about 1" square, because not many people can handle a bigger piece! You can omit all of the nuts if you'd like; the recipe will still turn out. This is the ONLY brownie recipe my roomate will let me make; he's wild about the concept of a double layered brownie!" Firebyrd Firebyrd

"A variation on this recipe  An ooey gooey marshmallow layer is sandwiched between chocolatey frosting and a thick & fudgy brownie studded with milk chocolate chips. If you want to make them rocky road style just add one cup of walnuts or pecans to the brownies. SO much better than using a brownie mix!" Firebyrd Firebyrd

"A variation on this recipe  If you love raw cookie dough, which I do, and chocolate (who doesn’t?), then this recipe is for you. These lil nuggets have a lot going on, but it all works well together and the flavors don't overpower each other. The cookie dough remains soft and gooey, while the chewy brownie provides the perfect blanket of rich chocolate" Firebyrd Firebyrd
