Suggest a better descriptionHere are some Fava bean receipes I found in "Foods of the Azores Islands": Soak beans in water overnight. Place beans in a kettle with mint, salt and enough water to cover beans. Cover and cook until tender. These beanx will turn brown when done. Drain water out. In a skillet, saute in shortening, the onion, garlic and pepper. Add cumin, paprika and salt. Stir and add to beans. Cover and shake kettle, let it stand for a few minutes before serving. Great for appetizers. RUTH_SANTOS@BROWN.EDU (RUTH ANN SANTOS) REC.FOOD.RECIPES From rec.food.cooking archives. Downloaded from G Internet, G Internet.
