Sift flours and salt, stir in parsley.
Combine egg, butter and milk, mix well and pour into flour mixture.
Mix lightly to a stiff dough then divide equally into 12.
Enclose a cube of cheese into each by wrapping dough around it forming a ball shape.
Place dumplings on top of simmering stew, cover closely and simmer for EXACTLY 20 minutes without lifting the lid.
